Usucha and koicha

The highest grades of Bio Matcha Tea are usually prepared in a traditional way and have two versions: thin (usucha) and strong (koicha) preparation of tea.

Usucha (thin) way of preparing the tea

is made in a larger amount of water, when the resulting tea is more moist and sweeter. For this preparation, we recommend Matcha Tea CEREMONY.

You need about 2-4 g of Matcha Tea.

Koicha (strong) way of preparing the tea

is exclusively for the highest grade of matcha, made from the youngest tea leaves. This preparation offers you the option to prepare matcha as strong as you wish, while it will still keep its complex taste. That is why we offer Matcha Tea DELICACY for this preparation.

You need about 4-8 g of Matcha Tea.

With what grade of Bio Matcha Tea should I start?

If Matcha Tea is new to you, we recommend starting with Bio Matcha Tea HARMONY. It is ideal for everyday drinking that will provide you with the optimal amount of antioxidants and energy. Then you should at least once try to compare it with Bio Matcha Tea PREMIUM or CEREMONY so that you can appreciate the taste and visual difference.

If you want to enjoy the highest grade of Matcha Tea, we recommend Bio Matcha Tea DELICACY. In this grade, we advise it to be prepared only in the traditional preparation form. Preparation of this tea in a plastic shaker would be a real sin :-).

Why buy our brand?

In the Czech Republic, there are several sellers who offer high quality matcha. Our company is the biggest importer of matcha into Czechia but we do not claim to be the only one who sells high quality and original matcha tea. There are a few honest sellers but the opposites are emerging as well. It is important to pay attention to the price – remember that 1 CZK per gram is really suspicious. Those are usually cheap imitations from China that have only the plant in common with matcha tea. They are usually processed in a completely different manner and are grown differently. This tea is usually very tart, almost bitter, and has yellow or brown colour.

If you want to be sure you are buying high quality matcha, do not hesitate to ask for the certificate of the tea’s origin and any other certificate that proves its quality. You have the right to see these documents and if the sellers is honest, they will take pride in them.

Enjoy and cheers 😉
