Matcha tea for moments of calm
The charm of Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony lies in its serving. The traditional tea ritual is intended for special occasions, demanding customers, and admirers of Japanese tradition. During the traditional preparation, matcha is drank from tea bowl in a slow and meditative manner. The slow drinking allows all the beneficiary substances from the tea to flood our entire body. Among those substances belong L-theanine amino acid, that improves our mood because it helps produce dopamine and serotonin, lowers mental and physical stress, strengthens memory and provides us with the feeling of relaxed mind.
Simultaneously, it allows us to fully concentrate because it raises the activity of alpha waves. Especially because of these effects, matcha was popular among Buddhist monks during meditation sessions. Japanese samurai favoured matcha because of its high amount of caffeine that is released gradually for 3-6 hours, and together with L-theanine evokes state of intense concentration and represents an energy boost.
Detox and fat burning with matcha
Matcha also contains more than 10x nutritional values than other green teas, including high amount of calcium, vitamins A, C, E, and minerals. Matcha is a strong antioxidant that helps flushing out harmful substances from our organism. According to many studies, matcha also accelerates our metabolism up to 40 % and helps burn excessive fat much faster.
How do I know which grade is the best for me?
Matcha is sold in many types of quality. Some grades are good for everyday drinking and simultaneously as food ingredient, others, including Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony, are refined for special occasions, above all else, for the Japanese tea ceremony. The best way to enjoy Ceremony is in its natural form, using the traditional Japanese tools.
Can I drink Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony instead of coffee?
Ceremony is a great solution for those of you who need energy boost but do not like the classic caffeine because of its quick onset, rapid decrease, and because of its side effects, such as rapid heart beat, fidgetiness or nervousness. Theophylline in Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony does not have such side effects. It also provides us with energy for 3-6 hours. That is why Ceremony is gentler for the body in comparison with classic caffeine in coffee.
In case you do not want to give up coffee completely, we recommend avoiding consuming matcha and coffee together. Leave at least a few hour window between drinking coffee and matcha. More info about the relationship between matcha and coffee can be found here.
Caffeine and theophylline have different effect on the human body. That is why it is better to have a cup of matcha in the morning and a cup of coffee in the afternoon, or vice versa.
Where is Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony grown?
Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony is grown in Japan, in the area called Aichi and it is collected only manually. The leaf collectors pick only the top leaves of the plant in the very early stage of growth. A human eye is needed to pick the best leaves, which is also reflected in the price of this time demanding and high quality product.
Does Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony contain allergens? Are there some risks related to tea consumption?
Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony does not contain any known allergens. However, it is not advised to drink Ceremony on an empty stomach. The tea is very strong and it can cause nausea when drank on empty stomach.
Can I use Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony as food ingredient?
Ceremony is especially made so its taste excels in the form of cold or hot beverage. It has a very fine taste that cannot be recognized in food, and it would be a great shame to use it in any other way than in special occasions and tea ceremonies.
What is the recommended daily dose of matcha?
Adults can prepare 4-6 grams of matcha a day. Pregnant, nursing, and children only about 2 grams per day.
How to store Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony?
Do not expose the container with Bio Matcha Tea Ceremony to direct sunlight. To slow the degradation of the tea, we recommend carefully closing the container after every use and storing it in the fridge. Air and warmth are the biggest enemies of this emerald powder. After it is opened, the tea starts to slowly loose its quality, but that does not mean it becomes unsuitable for drinking. However, its taste, colour, and aroma are getting slightly worse. That is why we do not recommend our customers to buy one hundred-grams and bigger bulks of matcha for personal use – this purchase might not pay off.
